our guide to

REFERENCE PHOTOS

Once your orders been confirmed, its reference photo time!

The key to a perfect portrait is using the right reference photo. Good quality reference photos are essential to capture every minor detail of your pet, to ensure the highest quality portrait. See our guide below for tips & tricks.

try to ✅

~ Have your pet/animal facing the camera

~ Take at eye level

~ Use a high quality sharp image

~ Make sure the face & neck are visibly proportionate

~ Have your pet/animal well lit in natural light w/no harsh shadows!

try not to ❌

~ Take in harsh sunlight

~ Send a blurry image

~ Send an edited image as this reduces the quality

~ Take an image too high up otherwise your animals head will be disproportionate to its neck/body.
